Signs of Solidarity: Teaching local businesses about ICE
The Trump administration is sending ICE deep into communities to spread fear among immigrants. Many families—including citizens—are now afraid to go to work, shop, or go about daily life.
To show immigrants they are welcome and essential to our communities, we are going to local businesses and asking them to post signs supporting immigrant neighbors and rejecting ICE intimidation, and create private employee-only spaces that ICE cannot legally enter without a signed judicial warrant.
Everyone is encouraged to volunteer to help, and we especially need people who can speak Spanish.
Results from previous canvases: Over 200 businesses canvassed, 40 volunteers, 129 signs, and "know your rights" pamphlets accepted.
Never canvassed before? We got you! You do not go alone.
