About the Event
The Advocacy Bootcamp is designed to engage minority communities through foundational training in advocacy, reproductive rights, and the legislative process. As our political climate becomes increasingly authoritarian, Black and Brown communities continue to be among the most impacted. This bootcamp is crafted to equip emerging Black and Brown advocates with the knowledge and tools needed to protect our rights and defend our communities.
The Advocacy Bootcamp is ideal for individuals with little to no prior advocacy experience, or those seeking a refresher on how local and state governments function.
Participants will learn to identify key issues, track legislation, and advocate effectively— for themselves and for their communities. The training centers reproductive freedom and social justice, providing practical skills to navigate and influence policy spaces with confidence.
The bootcamp also introduces strategies for impactful outreach, building partnerships with local organizations, and breaking down complex legislative topics into accessible language.
