September is Hunger Action Month. With cuts in federal funding and increasing food prices, marginalized communities are facing growing food insecurity, and food pantries urgently need donations. At the same time, the US wastes an estimated 30-40% of its food supply! Join us for a film screening on food waste and food insecurity and a Simple Supper designed to simulate a meal when food insecure. Jeannie Hunter from SoSA will discuss the myriad practical ways you can help with these issues. If you can't be there at 5:30, come when you can. Let's learn how we can help feed our hungry neighbors.
